Video: Bionic Prosthetic for Extreme Sports

Mike Schultz from BioDapt and Jesse Hahne and Marc McCauley from the Center for Advanced Design discuss how their design for an extreme sport prosthetic came to fruition.
Many prosthetics are not capable of handling extreme action situations, such as dirt biking, snowboarding, or riding all-terrain vehicles. For Mike Schultz, Paralympic and X-Games athlete, the prosthetics available to him weren’t enough. With the help of the Center for Advanced Design, Schultz turned his focus from extreme sports to bioengineering and created a prosthetic capable of performing for extreme sports competition.
