DOE Announces Advanced Clean Hydrogen Grant Awards

DOE Announces Advanced Clean Hydrogen Grant Awards

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced $47.7 million in funding for 16 research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects across 13 states to advance clean hydrogen technologies. The selected projects align with the DOE’s Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub program, which aims to reduce costs, enhance hydrogen infrastructure, and improve the performance of hydrogen fuel cells.

Developing a national clean hydrogen economy is a critical part of the long-term U.S. net-zero emission, particularly for critical sectors such as heavy-duty transportation and energy intensive industrial and chemical processes. Managed by DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO), the projects include a wide variety of technologies across the hydrogen supply chain. For a full list of projects, visit the full DOE announcement here.
