Video: Robots on BMW's Assembly Line

Since assembly line work involves repetitive movements, robots now perform some of the tasks that were earlier performed by human autoworkers. At BMW’s South Carolina plant, robots work side-by-side with human workers, making the assembly line more cost-effective and productive. Richard Morris, vice president of assembly and logistics at BMW Manufacturing Co., discusses BMW’s strategy to use robots on the assembly line, including final door assembly.
