ASME Foundation Announces the Establishment of the Standards & Certification Scholarship

The ASME Foundation recently announced the launch of a Standards & Certification (S&C) pooled scholarship fund, the establishment of which has been approved by the Council on Standards & Certification. The objective of the ASME S&C Scholarship is to stimulate engineering student interests in standards and certification and the technologies addressed by those ASME activities, and to annually honor individuals involved in ASME S&C activities who have devoted their careers to the development and promulgation of ASME S&C programs. ASME S&C has pledged $200,000 to establish the scholarship fund.

Students receiving the scholarship are expected to participate in S&C meeting(s) related to their area of study, with financial aid granted through the scholarship. Initially one scholarship will be awarded with a goal of awarding four scholarships each year. Both U.S. and international students are encouraged to apply.
